About US Paycheck Tools

Free, private paycheck math for everyone.

US Paycheck Tools is a free set of US paycheck and salary calculators. The goal is simple: help you understand exactly what your pay is worth — before and after taxes — without sign-ups, paywalls, or having to hand over your financial details.

How it works

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. When you type a wage or salary, the math happens on your device in real time. Nothing you enter is stored or transmitted, so your numbers stay yours.

Where the numbers come from

Our estimates are built on published tax data for the 2026 tax year — federal income tax withholding, FICA (Social Security and Medicare), and state and local taxes for all 50 states and DC. Each tool links to its primary sources, such as the IRS and state revenue departments, so you can check the assumptions behind any result.

What it’s for (and not)

These tools are great for quick, transparent estimates: comparing a job offer, converting hourly pay to an annual salary, sizing up overtime, or seeing the real impact of a raise. They are not a substitute for professional advice or your employer’s official payroll — see the Terms for the full disclaimer.
